Photo Wall Done Riktig
Materials: DIGNITET Curtain wire, DIGNITET Support/corner fixture + RIKTIG Curtain hook with clip
Description: Riktig is the Scandinavian word for right.
I wanted to create a photo wall that:
1) could be easily updated with new photos
2) wasn't too expensive
3) wasn't dependent on one business that might not be there in the future (I'm looking at you ixxi)
I used:
DIGNITET Curtain wire
DIGNITET Support/corner fixture
RIKTIG Curtain hook with clip
Big sheets of thick paper/cardboard
Glue (I used a liquid glue sponge thingie)
Photos
Cutting knife, ruler etc.
I believe this hack is pretty self-explanatory but some notes:
The hooks between the photos are made be combining two hooks.
The square photos are 20x20cm.
The black squares are 25.3x25.3cm.
The holes are 4mm in diameter and the centre of the holes are 1.2cm away from the sides/tops/bottoms of the black squares.
The distance between the black squares is 3.7cm.
Remember that distance when calculating the size of the 2:1, 3:1, supersized 1:1 or whatever shape you might want to create:)
I believe that's about it. The lamp is also from ikea (FORS). The images in the bottom are a bit off because I ran out of hooks - Ikea is only 10 min away so I'll fix that soon. I don't have the total costs for this project but the IKEA items are dirt cheap:)

Floating Gallery Wall for Under $60
Materials: DIGNITET curtain wire, RIKTIG clips, Thin Gauge Wire, Screen Mold, Spray Paint, Grommets, Art Work
Description: 1. Screen Mold (1/4" x 3/4" x 8') was selected to make the frames.
2. After determining the size of the frames needed, screen mold was cut on a 45 degree angle with the chop saw.
3. Frames were glued with super glue.
4. After the glue dried, frames were primed and then given a top coat of spray paint.
5. To hang the art - a grommet kit was used to attach the wire between the paper and frame (follow directions on grommet kit).
7. Ikea's Dignitet curtain wire system was mounted and Ikea's Riktig curtain clips were attached at the top. Two eye screws were inserted at the top of each frame to hang the wire from.
8. Frames and art were hung with thin gauge wire, and attached to the curtain clips (wire was simply twisted at the end to secure.
Finally, we used a level to help get everything straight!

Rasterbator wall mount collage
Materials: 1x Tacksam Curtain rod set, 1x Dignitet curtain ring with clip
Description: 1: - measure your wall, make your photo collage with rasterbator and laminate your prints (I laminated mines matte).
*Tip: place a little number on the back of the prints for ordering, you can lose track of the order and start assembling a jigsaw out of the prints.
2: - install Tacksam curtain rod on the wall with screws or like I did, with a good double stick tape.
3: - trace easily the middle of all the prints and make holes with a nail - in the upper and bottom part (don't put holes at the bottom of the last raw of prints).
4: - install the Dignitet clips hanging from the curtain rod and clipping the first raw of prints, then hanging from the bottom of prints and clipping the next ones.
5: - assemble the rows of prints to the curtain rod and enjoy a nice collage and a prettier wall.
