RUNDEL Laundry Bin Smoker
Materials: RUNDEL Laundry Bin, LANSA Handle; Grundtal S-hook
Description: Quite easy hack - and a rather cheap way to make a smoker that can be used for cold smoking of meat, fish, poultry.
1 RUNDEL Laundry Bin,
1 LANSA Handle (2-pack),
1 Grundtal S-hook (5-pack),
Unpack the lid from the laundry bin and unpack the LANSA handles.
Use the pre-drilled holes in the handles to mark where you need to drill holes to mount them with screws to the lid.
Make sure you do not place the handles too close to the edge. Then you won't be able to hang any meat on them without the meat touching the side of the bin (you do not want that).
I placed the handles rather close to the center of the lid - parallel to each other.
Make sure the S-hooks are washed and rinsed really well before they are used for smoking.
I usually use finely ground beech wood (wood dust/wood chips) for smoking, around 1 liter placed in a "U" at the bottom of the smoker. Ignite the wood in one end, put the lid on (with the meat hanging in the S-hook's). Check that the smoke is rising from the hole in the middle of the lid - and wait.
I've managed to keep the smoking process going for 20 hours.
If you want more smoke it's probably a good idea to drill one or two holes in the side of the laundry bin, close to the bottom.
Happy smoking

Extendable tierack
Materials: KOMPLEMENT pull-out rack + LANSA handle
Description: Since the PAX wardrobe combination didn't offer a satisfying solution to store my ties, I decided to combine two products. The plastic hooks on the original Komplement pull-out rack were too small and I didn't like the storage compartments...
I fitted a new front (two kitchen handles) on the metal back-part of the pull-out rack. With a few screws it's fairly quickly modified.
The only tricky part is to re-drill the holes (otherwise the "pulling-out-system" won't work anymore as the bolts stick out too far).

Sleek Stainless Steel Bird Feeder
Materials: Lansa Handle (21 7/8") $9.99, BLANDA BLANK Serving bowl(5"), Drill, Drill bits, screwdriver, pliers $2.99
Description: Start by drilling drainage holes in the bottom of the bowl.
Then drill a hole in the top just below the rim. In order to use the screws that come with the handle you will have to shorten it with the clipping blades on your pliers.
Thread the screw thru the hole below the rim of the bowl, then the extender piece then into the handle as far as it will go. Mark the screw at the excess point. Disassemble and cut the screw, you may have to make small nips to the tip of the screw to get a clean tip to thread into the handle's hole.
Reassemble if the tilt of the bowl bothers you you can insert a shim below the screw (small piece of wire, plastic etc.) however this will cause a small gap where the horizontal arm meets the bowl. I left my as is.
Insert into the ground, fill with bird seed and enjoy your new best friends as they come to visit!

Coat Hanger Shelf Luxury Version
Materials: 2 Grundtal Haklei (60176925), Lansa handles 25cm (60138759), Galant board (60080541), 2 metal brackets, 2 screws
Description: A small hack inspired by the "Coat Hanger Shelf" posted some weeks ago plus a walk through IKEA.
The GALANT board was cut from 40x80 to 34x80. Grundtal Haklei is attached on the right and left side. Here you need 2 screws that are a bit longer than the original ones in order to attach them to the board. At the front you can see the LANSA handles for the coat hangers. Everything else is pretty easy: After attaching everything to the board, mount it on the wall using two or more metal brackets.
