Black TV unit gets a Second hack
Materials: HUGE BLACK TV UNIT, MDF, WOOD, GLUE, SCREWS. SAW AND SCREWDRIVER
Description: Sorry can't remember what the unit was called and it wasn't around for long.
First we cut it in half and added Ikea work tops and made 2 console tables from it a couple of years back now.
Then we moved just over a year ago and they got pushed together as a craft table
Second hack...
This week we have added sides to hide the storage and added a 'sandwich' top making a space to craft and store stuff that can be hidden in 30 seconds
How..
Removed the two Ikea work tops... to be added back later
The sides and a front measured and MDF cut 3" taller than the height of the tables.
A 3" wooden baton added to the inside MDF panels for strength
Then the sides were glued and screwed onto the consoles and the front added last
Painting it is the next job and adding a couple of rails to the ends
Made a wonderful easily tidied 'sandwich' top craft table
See more of the TV unit turned crafter's table.
