Ung Drill Earring Display
Materials: Ung Drill frame, tulle, needle and thread
Description: This is my first Ikea hack that I wanted to publish and I'm very excited about it.
I wanted something fancy to store my tons of earrings, and it would have to fit into my old fashionde, viennese pseudo baroque room. I thought the Ung Drill was just perfect for this purpose!
First I removed the cardboard from the back, then I wrapped the tulle fabric around the glass inlay and sewed the whole thing together in the front, so that the the leftovers from the fabric would resemble a "rose" at the front. The fabric around it has now a lot of crinkles to stick in earrings or other jewellery.
Then I put the whole thing back into the frame and voila - my new earring display was finished. The whole process took me about 20 minutes and was dead easy, and I'm quite happy with the result. Hope you like it!
