VITTSJ laptop table upgrade
Materials: VITTSJ laptop table, Eggshell Finish Deep Base by Benjamin Moore, Benjamin Moore Metallics in Bronze 30, fabric sample, glue gun
Description: I fell in love with the very cute, compact and inexpensive VITTSJ laptop table from Ikea and decided to glam it up a bit for my home office renovation.
For this super easy and quick hack, I removed the glass top of the already built table, and painted on two layers of Eggshell Finish Deep Base by Benjamin Moore.
To achieve the vintage look I was going for, I then painted a layer of Benjamin Moore Metallics in Bronze 30. It's a translucent paint so it took about 3 coats to get the desired effect.
When it was dry, I took a fabric sample I had (I actually almost cut a skirt with a cool print on it, but changed my mind) and folded it around the little shelf in the same fashion that you would wrap a gift. I secured it with a glue gun, only on the edges in case I wanted to switch up the pattern later on.
And voila!!
See more of the the laptop table upgrade.
